The Scottsbluff High School Math Team brought home the hardware with a number of team and individual awards. At UNL Math Day the SHS team took 2nd in the Competitive League Math Bowl while the BMS team took 4th in the Recreational League Math Bowl. Scottsbluff placed 2nd in schools for PROBE I exam results. Teams also competed in interactive math challenges and SHS teams won the Paper Airplane Distance Contest, Measuring without a Measuring Tape and Untangling Planar Graphs.
At the UNO Math Contest Scottsbluff placed First in the Gauss Division, with two individuals, Riley Ibero, and Cal Heldt, placing top ten. Our team placed first in the Mathematical Problem Solving Team Challenge.
The SHS Math Team competed in the Arete Math Madness Tournament, a bracket based virtual team tournament and finished 9-2 on the season, outscoring opponents 265-170.
