Congratulations Dr. Tyson Lambertson
Each Year, Scottsbluff Public Schools recognizes one outstanding community partner as Friend of the District. This year Dr. Tyson Lambertson will be recognized as 2025 Friend of the District.
Dr. Lambertson is a parent of three SHS graduates and the former lead pastor at The Rock Church, a position he proudly held for 18 and a half years. Tyson recently accepted a new position as the USA Director of Outreach at the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem and has relocated to Arizona. During Dr. Lambertson’s time in Scottsbluff, under his leadership, The Rock Church, not once, but twice, selected Scottsbluff Public Schools to be on the receiving end of their annual Big Serve Sunday event. In the most recent event, volunteers from The Rock Church cleaned up the grounds of the Scottsbluff Public Schools Education Center, which was no small undertaking.
As a parent, Dr. Lambertson has served on the SHS Parent Advisory Committee, and in times of crisis or tragedy, he was consistently one of the first community members to reach out and offer assistance with counseling support for students and staff, and often asked if additional help was needed even when not called upon.
