Sound of Music

April 13th, 14th, and 15th, at 7:00 p.m. in the High School auditorium.

Scottsbluff’s production of Sound of Music will run April 13th-15th at 7:00 p.m. in the Scottsbluff High School Auditorium. Tickets are $13 or $11 if purchased before April 1.

The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical. Featuring a trove of cherished songs, including "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "My Favorite Things," "Do-Re-Mi," "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulant who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision.

This beloved production will feature Brooke Margheim (Maria), Riley Ibero (Captain Von Trapp). The Von Trapp Children will be played by Elli Eichner (Leisl), Brandon Baker (Friederich), Linnea Bleisch (Louisa), William Simmons (Kurt), Nina Polk (Marta), Alta Downey (Brigitta) and Ava Zavala (Gretl).

Tickets will be available online at www.ronne.com beginning March 1 for a discounted price of $11. Tickets will go to the full price of $13 on April 1.
